The goal of rehabilitation is to help a person learn how to care for their body now that it is working differently from the injury and maintain a high level of health that avoids secondary complications. Rehabilitation could help your body achieve the normal daily functions by different recovery techniques. No matter if your an All- American sports player or someone who occasionally will engage in some form of physical activity, anyone can suffer an injury. The most common injuries in sports include concussion, ankle sprains, rotator cuff injuries and ACL tears.
Our group chose this topic because the majority of us are wanting to become either physical therapist, occupational therapist or athletic trainers. In each of these job settings rehabilitation plays a major role. It is extremely important to do proper rehab when injuring yourself in any type of way. Rehab and treatment can make a huge difference on whether or not a person will be able to return to play or even have proper function of the specific body part that has been injured.
